Royal Festival of Remembrance Communications
Two weeks before the Royal Festival of Remembrance, which comprises of a service of Remembrance and an observance of a two minute silence for victims of conflict, EARS were contacted by an outside broadcast company, desperate for technical assistance to help them rectify a communications issue that would hinder the live broadcast of the event.
EARS' solution was to interface the stage production intercom system and live audio feed into a multi-channel user group, which enabled the festival's producers and director to communicate freely with the other departments such as special effects, stage lightning, production and camera operators who would normally have communications independent of one another. This unique resolution had never been achieved before and allowed the departments to converse as one group when required.
Her Majesty The Queen and other senior members of the Royal family, Government ministers and the public attend the annual festival which takes place at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Around six million people watch the event on television and it is also popular with radio listeners worldwide.

The Bourne Ultimatum
First, it was the Bourne Identity. Then came the second installment in the form of the Bourne Supremacy. Now, the Ultimatum. This is the third production EARS have been heavily involved in.
Providing the best in communication equipment and excellent 24 hour, round the clock support was a challenge. However this was excellently handled by the team at EARS under the command of Project Manager Stephen Smith, who's sole aim was to ensure smooth running of production.
The Bourne Ultimatum will see returned performances by Matt Damon, Julia Stiles and Joan Allen. New cast members include Paddy Considine, David Strathairn and Edgar Ramirez. The story continues trained assassin Jason Bourne's search for his true identity.
With location shots in Morocco, Spain, France, the US and the UK, this promises to be the most exciting feature in the Bourne series.
The Bourne Ultimatum, directed by Paul Greengrass, is set for release in the UK on the 17th August 2007.

Here Comes the Bride
Wedding Belles is a darkly comic film following a group of four-life long friends as they prepare for what should be the dream wedding of the year.
EARS plc were called upon to supply all of their audio broadcast support equipment over the duration of the filming. Fifty walkie talkies in fully fitted flight cases and an assortment of up to fifty audio accessories were provided as part of a short term hire.
Taking advantage of EARS' 24 hour backup and support service, Stephen Smith, project manager at EARS plc, oversaw the smooth running and completion of the hire.
When a rogue radio frequency interfered with their frequency range, our engineers were onsite within two hours of the fault being reported. Interference is unavoidable, but we rectified the issue in a swift and efficient manner.

Razorlight Tour sells out with EARS
The multi-platinum selling band Razorlight, used EARS plc to help their preparations for their recent week long arena tour of the UK.
The London based chart toppers set up at camp at the legendary Bray Film Studios, once home to the Hammer Horror series of films, to rehearse while EARS arranged all their communications needs via their management company.
Danny from EARS commented, A band as popular as Razorlight is surrounded by a large crew of roadies, technicians and caterers, and though these units may travel to each arena separately, they're all working towards the same goal, and need to be co-ordinated.
EARS hired thirty walkie talkies and speaker microphones, and an assortment of audio accessories. The tour visited the MEN arena in Manchester, the SECC in Glasgow before ending at Earl's Court in London.
