Programme Making & Special Events (PMSE) Licensing
talkingprops can arrange channels with JFMG for Programme Making & Special Events (PMSE) for use with our hire equipment. Interference free channels are essential for production use and can save on costly mistakes being made during high budget productions.
Under UK law (the Wireless Telegraphy Act of 1949), a licence is required for PMSE. This includes use of radio microphones, Talkback (walkie-talkies) and production services in theatrical performances, radio and television programmes, conferences, places of worship and so on, but only when directly associated with the performance or event. Radios used for general security, catering, crowd control and so on, need a licence issued by Ofcom which
talkingprops can administer.

Broadcast Combining Equipment (Circulators & Isolaters)

A large comms or Outside Broadcast (O.B.) van often has several channels in use with intermodulation being a common problem. Equally, the logistics of installing separate Tx / Rx antennas on the already crowded roof of an O.B. vehicle roof can be a complex issue.
talkingprops can advise and supply multicouple combining systems to solve intermodulation issues, improve performance and solve installation problems.
